What's a connected team actually worth?

Team building gets cut first because no one can price it. This calculator gives you a transparent, conservative estimate of the return — the kind of number you can take into a budget conversation.

📐 How this is calculated

  • Productivity gain = team size × average salary × productivity lift × (months it lasts ÷ 12). The value of a more effective team, for as long as the effect holds.
  • Retention saved = people kept × (50% of average salary), a widely-used estimate of the cost to replace someone.
  • Net return = productivity gain + retention saved − the cost of the experience. ROI = net return ÷ cost.
  • Defaults are deliberately conservative. The real figures depend on your team — which is exactly why we measure before and after with BeamScore.

This is an illustrative estimate, not a guarantee or financial advice. It's a planning aid to frame a conversation — the assumptions are yours to adjust, and actual outcomes vary. What makes TeamBeam different is that we don't ask you to take the return on faith: we measure the real change across eight dimensions and hand you an Impact Report.

🧭

Why a connected team pays

Aligned teams waste less motion, decide faster, and rework less. Even a small, sustained lift across a whole team adds up fast against payroll.

📉

Why retention is the big lever

Losing one good person can cost half their salary to replace — often the single largest line in this calculation. Belonging keeps people.

Why we measure it

An estimate frames the conversation; measurement settles it. We read the eight dimensions before and after, so the return isn't a guess — it's a number.
